Quick Overview

Heroine Holly Lambeth has escaped the humiliation of a broken engagement by visiting her cousin's family in Riverbend, Oregon, a town that is just emerging from its rough-and-tumble mining-camp past. When her cousin proves less than hospitable, Holly is forced to find her own way in this very alien and sometimes hostile culture.
