Bible Text, Concordance and Cross References combined. The difference with this Bible is the focus. The Disciple’s Study Bible focuses on the great truths of the Christian faith, on the basics of faith. It begins at the point where beliefs are defined in Scripture, and moves on to help you know how to apply belief to life. It continues for a lifetime to influence what you do about your faith because growing as a disciple never ends for the Christian. It offers a simple, yet thorough, plan for study. You can follow every one of 27 doctrines through the Bible – from Genesis to Revelation – and explore every Scripture reference to every doctrine. You study Bible themes. You concentrate on understanding the message of the Bible instead of learning individual facts. Explanatory notes appear on the page with the Bible text to clarify, to enhance your understanding of the Scriptures. Begin your study by selecting the theme you want to pursue – God, Christ, Salvation, Humanity, Family, Miracle, for example and finding that theme in the Doctrinal Reference Index. This index guides you to all the passages and all the notes in the Bible relating to the theme you have chosen. As you study the Bible passages and the notes, refer to the “Life Helps” section following the text. There you with locate subjects relating to your theme.
