About Our Butter Lamp :

The Copper Butter Lamp, at 9.5cm tall, is a stunning handcrafted artwork intended for spiritual rites and ceremonies. The lamp’s 4.5cm base has a strong foundation and exquisite floral carvings that lend depth and character to the overall design. The lamp’s body is sleek, with delicate detailing that highlights the beauty of the copper material, and a 6.5cm diameter bowl sits on top, ready for typical butter lamp offerings. The interior depth of 3cm indicates that it can carry a significant amount of oil or butter, making it perfect for ceremonial lighting.

The floral carvings on the bowl’s base add elegance while emphasizing the piece’s spiritual significance. The overall design exudes timeless beauty, with flower designs representing purity and spiritual enlightenment. This makes it an invaluable tool for individuals looking to participate in rituals or prayers. With its intricate craftsmanship, this butter lamp serves not only as a ritual item but also as a reminder of the dedication and reverence required for the religious rites it supports.

Introduction to Butter Lamp :

The whole process of offering a butter lamp is also a very spiritual practice. The traditional practice of preparing a butter lamp starts by washing ones hand, wearing a mask to protect from contaminating the butter lamp through ones breath, making the wick out of pure cotton, and cleaning the chalices with a clean piece of cloth reserved for this or fresh mosses from the trees, which was commonly used in old times. The whole process is a meditative spiritual practice, which engages a person physically and mentally if they know and practice it according to the norms.
